FOSCO Hosted The 2018 Reception for Foreign Missions in HCMC

On the evening of  February 1^st 2018, Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO) hosted “The 2018 Reception for Foreign Agency Representatives”.
Attending were Mr. Huynh Cach Mang, Member of HCMC Party’s Committee and Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee; Consul Generals, Honorary Consuls, Consular Officers from different Consulates in HCMC; Representatives from many International Organisations, NGOs, Foreign Economic & Cultural Rep. Offices in HCMC; Leaders from many Foreign Affairs Departments as well as the Departments that signed agreements with FOSCO from 20 Southern Provinces.

Chairman of FOSCO Board of Members Ngo Anh Tuan stated in his Opening Remarks: In 2017, FOSCO provided 40,000 m² land area as headquarters/offices and residence for Foreign Missions in HCMC; provided and managed 8,000 Vietnamese employees working for 900 organisations and individuals; provided schooling to 150 children whose parents are working for foreign missions in HCMC. Besides, FOSCO collaborated with 20 Southern Cities and Provinces from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau on providing and managing Vietnamese employees working for foreign organisations and individuals. In 2018, FOSCO will continue providing various services to Consular Offices, International Organisations, NGOs, Foreign Economic & Cultural Offices in HCMC, contributing to the Foreign Affairs policy of HCMC.
On behalf of the Consular Corps, Consul General of the Republic of Singapore in HCMC and Dean of Consular Corps Leow Siu Lin said in her speech: there are 25 Consulates General, 28 Honorary Consulates and 12 Economic Rep. Offices in HCMC who are getting much support from FOSCO. FOSCO has been providing many services including: houses & offices for rent, employment service, Kindergarten and Primary education; especially FOSCO has held many cultural exchange and sport events for Consular Corps in HCMC. Besides, FOSCO’s organised  many workshops and conferences relating to Labour Law, advising Vietnamese employees on their responsibilities and benefits. Madam Leow Siu Lin thanked FOSCO on behalf of all of her colleagues and showed appreciation for the support that FOSCO has been trying its best to provide for the Consular Corps.
In his remarks, Mr. Huỳnh Cách Mạng, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee noted and highly appreciated FOSCO’s work over the past years and he encouraged FOSCO to continue upgrading providing quality services, meeting the needs of Foreign Missions in HCMC. Mr. Huynh Cach Mang emphasized that the City Authorities commit to support FOSCO, prioritize FOSCO’s customers for the development of not only FOSCO but also HCMC. On this occasion, Deputy Chairman of People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang wishes that the good friendships and cooperation between FOSCO and Foreign Missions in HCMC will always be developing and successful.
