KINDERGARTEN KI (3 years) – KII (4 years)
 |
| |
From 3 years of age children in the Nursery class graduate to the first year of Kindergarten. The Kindergarten is a two-year program (KI-KII) for children turning 4 and 5. English language learning is strongly emphasized throughout these 2 years, particularly the children's spoken language. During this period we expect a dramatic increase in the children's spoken vocabulary through the many positive social interactions not only with teachers but also with other students during the course of the day. In Kindergarten I 'Show and Tell' is introduced to the teaching session to provide daily opportunities for the children to share their experiences, listen to others and respond with questions or statements. Our Curriculum responds to the individual abilities, interests and needs of our students.
The Kindergarten classes (K1 - KII) provide a warm and stable environment to foster learning, and help build confidence and self-esteem. Our aim is to facilitate many stimulating and varied opportunities to encourage and extend the children not only to learn English but to think, problem solve, imagine, create and learn. By the end of KII (5 years) the children are ready to graduate to our Grade school classes. | | | |
